Theo Voss co-founded Inter.link with more than 10 years of industry experience as a well-known member of the internet community. Launched in September 2021, Inter.link aims to disrupt the network industry by revolutionizing connectivity to the Internet with sustainable and automated solutions. With the aim of delivering end-to-end automation, 100% uptime and self-service capabilities on a global scale, Inter.link sets high standards for quality and professionalism. By challenging the status quo and embracing cutting-edge technology, Inter.link aims to transform the way networks are built, operated and scaled worldwide. Offering a range of services including IP, transport and value-added security options, Inter.link ensures transparency through API access, transparent pricing and white-labelling opportunities. Theo Voss has a proven track record in the industry, having led a team of more than 25 professionals in the operations and engineering of a global network with more than 90 points of presence worldwide, while also spearheading key projects such as the development of a global backbone and the implementation of self-service network automation.

Evelyn Austin Executive Director Bits of Freedom

Evelyn Austin is the Executive Director of Bits of Freedom, a Dutch digital rights organisation based in Amsterdam. Since 1999, Bits of Freedom has worked to shape internet policy in support of an open and just society in which people can hold power accountable and effectively question the status quo. Austin has been working at the intersection of technology and society for over 15 years and co-founded The Hmm, an experimental research platform for internet cultures.

Octavia de Weerdt General director NBIP Foundation
Octavia de Weerdt has been active in the Internet sector for over 25 years in various roles. Among other things, she was a technical IT consultant and owner of two IT companies, including a hosting provider. Her expertise includes cyber security, InfoSec management, fighting internet abuse, ISO 27001 and 9001, auditing, cloud computing and the alignment of business and IT. 
 
Octavia is an outspoken advocate for an open, free and secure Internet for all. She believes in the power of the Internet community to organize itself and tackle problems together. Based on the idea that the common good comes before individual interest, Octavia is committed to fighting Internet abuse and strengthening cyber resilience. She actively engages in a broad cybersecurity network and is involved in building public-private partnerships. Octavia is also very dedicated to strengthening the position of women in the cybersecurity field.
 
Today, Octavia is the general director of NBIP Foundation (national management organization internet providers). NBIP was founded more than 20 years ago by ISPs. The foundation provides lawful intercept and disclosure services, DDoS mitigation through the largest non profit European scrubbing center NaWas and threat intelligence services with Clean Networks. All these services are on a not for profit basis, by and for the Internet community.
Demos Kyriacou Deputy CEO, Chief Operations Officer & Co-Founder Wingu Africa Group

With over 30 years of experience in finance and international telecommunications, Demos is a seasoned leader driving the success of Wingu Africa Group. His expertise spans corporate finance, operational management, and data center development, underpinned by a strong technical foundation.

After earning a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from King’s College London, Demos pursued an MBA in Finance at Imperial College London, equipping him with the strategic and financial expertise to lead high-impact projects. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in deregulating markets across Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, directly overseeing the financing of multimillion-dollar IT and Internet infrastructure initiatives.

His ability to navigate complex financial landscapes, optimise operations, and lead high-performing teams has made him a key force in Wingu Africa Group’s expansion and success.

Peter van Burgel CEO AMS-IX

Peter van Burgel is the CEO of AMS-IX, one of the largest Internet exchange points in the world and a vital hub of the Dutch digital infrastructure. Under his leadership, AMS-IX has successfully navigated the many challenges of the Internet, driving towards the next generation while fostering an ecosystem where everyone benefits from a safer, faster and more connected society. 

Van Burgel is a thought leader in the Internet and Internet technology fields. He is the driving force behind AMS-IX’s vision of ‘creating a better society through a better Internet’ and a vocal proponent of initiatives to make the Internet safer, faster, and more sustainable. Additionally, he advocates the need for innovation, both technically and in regulating the Internet, while preserving its neutrality and independence. 

Van Burgel possesses significant expertise as a Senior Executive in IT, cybersecurity, and digital resilience. He is passionate about digital transformation and has successfully guided various major global organizations through the transformation process. At AMS-IX, he is also a successful change manager, establishing a new and agile organization ready to face the challenges of tomorrow’s world.
