Michael van Schaik is senior accountmanager bij VSL. Na een lange carrière in account en sales management bij verschillende ICT-werkgevers heeft hij gekozen voor een uitdaging bij het nationale metrologisch instituut van Nederland. VSL is de beheerder van de Nederlandse tijd en verantwoordelijk voor herleidbaarheid voor kalibraties voor de Nederlandse markt.
Erwin is a Solution Architect, working in IT since 1988 and in IT infrastructure since 1995, in various PreSales and consulting roles. His role at Digital Realty is to understand the workload requirements of businesses and, based on that info, find data centre capacity with the best fit. The goal is to prevent another data center relocation within the next 20 years or so. Once locations and capacity have been found, Erwin helps customers interconnect all the sites and guide them in migrating to a Digital Realty data center. Most of his time is spent in translating specific company and IT language into something other people actually understand.
Jos van Eycken is an accomplished Sales Director with over 15 years of experience at Adtran, where he leads regional sales efforts in the enterprise-carrier segment. With a strong track record in both direct and channel sales across diverse market verticals, Jos has driven strategic growth through successful partnerships, pioneering technology sales, including Adtran’s first 100GbE deployment at a major Internet Exchange, and spearheading nationwide deployments in Ethernet demarcation and 5G synchronisation. A regular participant in international industry conferences, Jos is known for organizing impactful technology events and webinars and has deep expertise in promoting secure Optical transport and Timing & Synchronization solutions across key verticals such as utilities, government, finance, and broadcasting.
Mike has been leading the AMS-IX commercial team since 2019. Before that, he held several positions At CGI Group Inc – the last one being Director Consulting Services. Mike has a Technical Software Engineering and IT consultancy background which enables him to easily relate to both Information Technology and Technical Infrastructure topics.
Before being appointed CEO of Netnod, Karin spent two years as Head of Netnod Time and Frequency where she oversaw the expansion of Netnod’s time services for public and commercial use.
Karin has more than 20 years of experience in the fixed telecom network industry and has significant expertise with policy-related topics both in Sweden and on a European level. Prior to Netnod, Karin’s roles included: President of FTTH Council Europe, an industry association focused on advancing full fibre-based connectivity to the whole of Europe; Head of Sales and Marketing for the Technology and Infrastructure specialist Rala AB; and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swedish Local Fibre Alliance.
Karin holds a Master of Social and Political Science degree from the University of Linköping.
Simon Muyal is the Chief Technology Officer at France-IX Services, where he has led the technical strategy and infrastructure development for over 10 years. With a Master’s degree in Engineering and a background as R&D and Network Manager at RENATER, the French NREN, Simon brings over two decades of experience in network engineering, internet exchange points (IXPs), and telecom infrastructure.
He has technical expertise in MPLS, BGP, and WDM, and is actively involved in strategic partnerships, innovation, and large-scale infrastructure rollouts. At France-IX, IXP with a strong presence in Paris, Marseille, and major French cities (serving over 500 connected ASNs and exceeding 3 Tbps peak traffic), he plays a key role in shaping the IXP ecosystem.
Simon also contributes to the development of IXPs in West Africa, including Morocco and Senegal, by helping local players to develop these initiatives.
Ivan Kovacevic is the CEO of Codetribe, a strategic technology partner and trusted software supplier for AMS-IX. With a master’s degree in Business Information Systems and Entrepreneurship, Ivan brings a strong blend of technical expertise and business acumen. Under his leadership, Codetribe collaborates with organisations worldwide to develop robust digital platforms, focusing on scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
A strong advocate for innovation, Ivan helps enterprises navigate complex digital transformation initiatives—integrating AI-driven solutions and emerging technologies to drive operational change and unlock new value. Bas is the lead software engineer for AMS-IX’s data sharing solutions. He is working with an ecosystem of partners to develop technology that enables data sharing freely, transparently, and in full compliance with legal and consensual agreements. He loves making software simple in an increasingly complicated environment.
Mauro Roberto Magrassi, holds a degree in Electronical Engineering from Genoa University in 1990. Follows sw development, robotics and ip networking projects at Aitek, an Italian sweet and consultancy firm until 1994. In 1995, he joined Unisource (KPN, Telia, and Swisscom alliance) and then Netscalibur until 2005, when he left as Technical Director. Since 2006 ServDev Manager of Mix, a role he holds until 2020. Since 2020 he is CTO of MIX.

Evelyn Austin is the Executive Director of Bits of Freedom, a Dutch digital rights organisation based in Amsterdam. Since 1999, Bits of Freedom has worked to shape internet policy in support of an open and just society in which people can hold power accountable and effectively question the status quo. Austin has been working at the intersection of technology and society for over 15 years and co-founded The Hmm, an experimental research platform for internet cultures.
With over 30 years of experience in finance and international telecommunications, Demos is a seasoned leader driving the success of Wingu Africa Group. His expertise spans corporate finance, operational management, and data center development, underpinned by a strong technical foundation.
After earning a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from King’s College London, Demos pursued an MBA in Finance at Imperial College London, equipping him with the strategic and financial expertise to lead high-impact projects. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in deregulating markets across Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, directly overseeing the financing of multimillion-dollar IT and Internet infrastructure initiatives.

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Tim Vriend is a seasoned engineering leader with a strong focus on infrastructure, automation, user experience and operational excellence. He has worked with several major players in the tech and telecom sector, including KPN, Interxion, Canon and Marktplaats (eBay).
As Interim Manager of Engineering, he leads technical teams in delivering reliable, scalable network services, always with an eye for usability and efficiency. Since 2017, Tim has been a familiar face on stage during the technical track at More-IP, where he shares insights, challenges and a touch of humor with the community.
Outside of work, Tim is passionate about photography, kayaking, making things more efficient and exploring new technologies. He thrives on curiosity, collaboration and creative problem-solving.
